🏠 HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CLEAN YOUR HOME’S EXTERIOR?
One of the questions we get is, “How often should I have my home washed?”
The answer depends on the surface, how much shade your property gets, surrounding trees, moisture, and how quickly algae, mold, mildew, dirt, and other buildup return.
Here’s a good general guideline 👇
🧱 BRICK — Every 2–3 Years
Brick is extremely durable, but it’s also porous. Over time, it can hold moisture and develop algae, mildew, and dark staining—especially in shaded areas.
Professional soft washing allows us to clean the brick and mortar without relying on excessive pressure.
🏡 STUCCO — Every 1–2 Years, Sometimes 1–2 Times Per Year
Stucco’s textured surface can collect dirt and organic growth faster than many other exterior surfaces.
Depending on the amount of shade, moisture, trees, and surrounding environment, some stucco homes may benefit from cleaning once or even twice per year.
Stucco also needs to be cleaned carefully. We use the proper cleaning solutions and low pressure instead of trying to blast the surface clean.
✨ VINYL SIDING — Every 1–2 Years
Vinyl siding can collect algae, mildew, pollen, dirt, cobwebs, and other buildup pretty quickly.
Here in Arkansas, our humidity can make that green and dark organic growth return even faster—especially on shaded sides of the home.
A professional soft wash gets the siding clean without putting unnecessary pressure on the surface.
💦 CONCRETE — Every 1–2 Years
Driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, and pool decks take a beating year-round.
Dirt, algae, organic growth, tire marks, and other staining can slowly change the appearance of your concrete.
Regular surface cleaning helps keep your concrete looking its best and can also help remove slippery organic growth from walking areas.
🪟 WINDOW CLEANING — 2–4 Times Per Year
Your windows are constantly exposed to pollen, dust, rain spots, insects, and other buildup.
For most homes, we recommend professional window cleaning at least twice per year. If you want them looking their best year-round, quarterly cleaning is a great option.
